What sort of games can be played with Nintendo Labo? How long are these gameplay experiences?

Each Nintendo Labo kit comes with software included in the box, that provides lots of fun ways to play with your Toy-Con creations.

The more you play with each Toy-Con, the more fun ways to play you'll uncover! For example, not only can you enjoy the tracks included in the Motorbike's Grand Prix mode, but you can also create your own circuits to race on!

With the Robot Kit, you can take a break from destroying the city to try out challenges that will unlock new abilities for your Robot.

In addition to the games featured in the Play area of Nintendo Labo, players can learn how each Toy-Con works in the Discover area. Each kit also includes a mode called ‘Toy-Con Garage’, where players have the freedom to invent their own Toy-Con projects and experiment with their existing Toy-Con.

What if I lose the smaller parts?

We recommend that you make and play with Nintendo Labo in a tidy space. Small parts can be kept in a bag like this so that they don't get lost.

You could even tie smaller parts together with string, such as waveform cards.

Some Toy-Con also have space for you to store smaller parts inside them.

If you need a replacement, for example if the cardboard sheets or parts get lost or broken, please visit the Nintendo official UK Store.

Can I put on the Robot suit by myself?

If you don’t have someone to help you put on the Robot suit, here's a video to show you how to put it on by yourself.

Can Nintendo Labo be enjoyed with two players?

Most of the games included with the Variety Kit and Robot Kit are designed to be played by one person at a time.

If you have an additional pair of Joy-Con controllers (sold separately), you can enjoy two-player races and battles with the two RC Cars included in the Variety Kit. You can also have multiplayer robot battles if you have two Robot Suits, and an additional pair of Joy-Con controllers (sold separately).

You can also invent your own two-player experiences using Toy-Con Garage.

How sturdy is the cardboard?

During the development of Nintendo Labo, we conducted thousands of tests to see how the cardboard held up after extensive play.

Naturally, Toy-Con are made from cardboard, so when you are playing with it there is a possibility it will break. However, since you made it yourself, even if it breaks you can repair it by yourself and keep playing. Take a look at the helpful tips within the software on how to repair your Toy-Con.

If there comes a point where it's not possible to fix your Toy-Con, please visit the Nintendo official UK Store where replacement sets are available.
