In addition, Virtual Console fans are further spoilt with the launch of street racer Chase H.Q. and the mesmerising action RPG Ys Book I & II.

First off this week for the Hanabi Festival is Spelunker, an action-adventure from Tozai, originally published in 1987 for the Nintendo Entertainment System. Faced with the challenge of unraveling the secrets of an underground labyrinth, budding explorers must grab their oxygen tank, dynamite and flares and prepare to chart miles of uncharted caves in search of the legendary pyramid and its vast treasures. Satisfy your inner explorer and set off into the unknown today for 600 Wii Points.

Next up is DoReMi Fantasy: Milon’s DokiDoki Adventure from Hudson Soft. This engrossing action game, originally available only in Japan for the Super Nintendo, is set in the cute fairy-tale world of Fantasia. The villagers of Piccolo live a tranquil life, until one day the fairy Aeris informs them that all the songs and music from the surrounding forest have been stolen by the demon Amon! Then, almost immediately after delivering the terrible news, she is herself kidnapped by the evil Amon… Players step into the shoes of Milon who embarks on a magical journey to rescue Aeris and return the forest’s music by retrieving five legendary instruments and stars. The game is now available for 900 Wii Points

Speeding away from the Hanabi Festival towards Virtual Console, take to the streets in Chase H.Q., a fast-paced racing game, originally released by Taito for Turbografx, in which you attempt to catch criminals through intense pursuits and ramming their cars off the road! Weaving through packed streets full of innocent bystanders, your driving expertise is pushed to the very limit to catch the criminals. This is a driving must for any adrenalin junkie! Ever watched an intense, high-speed car chase? Now it's your turn to take part in one for 600 Wii Points.

Last but not least this week is the much loved classic action RPG Ys Book I & II. The game chronicles the adventures of Adol Christin, a young red-haired swordsman, as he embarks on his mystical quest to unlock the secrets of an ancient kingdom.

Originally released by Nihon Falcom for the Turbografx, the game asks you to search the island of Esteria, gathering clues to unravel the mystery of the ancient land of Ys. Incorporating an exciting balance of brains and brawn, players must overpower the hordes of monsters that lurk in the caves and towers through various physical and magical attacks and then use lateral thinking to successfully get through dangerous areas filled with insidious traps! Don’t miss out on your chance to experience this wonderful piece of gaming history, available today for 800 Wii Points!
