How to Exercise the Voluntary Right to Cancel a Pre-Order for Software on Nintendo eShop
Important: The voluntary right to cancel a pre-order can only be exercised seven days or more before the release date for the software. This voluntary right to cancel a pre-order does not affect your statutory right to cancel.
What to do
To exercise the voluntary right to cancel a pre-order, you need access to the Nintendo Account that was used to place the pre-order, as well as access to either a Nintendo Switch console or an internet browser on a computer or smart device.
What will you use to exercise the voluntary right to cancel your pre-order?
Nintendo Switch consoleInternet browser
- From the HOME Menu on your Nintendo Switch console, open Nintendo eShop and select the user that placed the pre-order.
- Select your user icon in the upper-right corner to access your Account Information.
- Select Pre-Orders from the right-hand menu to view any pre-orders you have placed.
- Select Cancel Pre-Order next to the pre-order you wish to cancel.

- Visit accounts.nintendo.com and sign in with the Nintendo Account that was used to place the pre-order.
- Select Purchase History.
- Select View pre-orders in the "Pre-Orders" section.
- Select Cancel Pre-Order next to the pre-order you wish to cancel.
