Parental Controls options when purchasing download games on the official Nintendo website

Purchases from Nintendo eShop through the official Nintendo website can be controlled in different ways:

  • On Nintendo Switch, this is handled on accounts.nintendo.com. After logging in to your Nintendo Account there, you can use the "Parental Controls" section to create, add and supervise Nintendo Accounts for children
  • On Nintendo 3DS family systems, the Parental Control "Nintendo 3DS Shopping Services" can be used to restrict purchases of Nintendo 3DS download games

  • On Wii U, the Parental Control "Wii U Shopping Services" can be used to restrict purchases of Wii U download games

  • By using the setting "Usage from PCs and Other Devices", accessible in the Nintendo Network ID settings on Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, use of a Nintendo Network ID on any website can be prevented
