Most online features on Nintendo systems are free to use, including online multiplayer, though some services may require a fee and will be clearly marked as such. In addition, certain software can be expanded with free or purchasable add-on content.

Free online play requires one copy of the software per console. Broadband internet connection required. The registration of Nintendo Network ID and acceptance of the Nintendo Network Agreements and Privacy Policy are required.

To prevent your child from spending any money without your permission, either in Nintendo eShop or within software, please enable Parental Controls and restrict settings relating to shopping services.
