Wii U can connect to the internet, allowing your child to communicate with other players online. You can restrict access to online communications, and who your child can communicate with, using Parental Controls.
Miiverse is a network service that allows players from around the world to discuss games, share experiences with typed and handwritten messages, and post screenshots of their gameplay for others to see. On Wii U, it is possible for your child to exchange private messages with other users registered on their friend list. Click here to find out more about Miiverse.
With Wii U Chat, your child can use the Wii U GamePad's built-in camera and microphone to speak to other users registered on their friend list. Wii U can also be used to access the internet via the built-in Internet Browser. Click here to find out more about the Wii U Internet Browser.
