How can I get the free Piranha Plant DLC?
Complete the following steps to receive your free download code:
- Use your Nintendo Account to purchase a digital copy or register a physical copy of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate by 31/01/19.
- Claim the My Nintendo Gold Points for your purchase of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate by 31/01/19.
- If you claim your Gold Points, a download code for the Piranha Plant fighter will be sent to the email address associated with your Nintendo Account. The codes will be sent out starting in mid-November.
- After the send-out period begins, your download code will be sent within 72 hours of when you claimed the Gold Points for the software. The download code will expire on 30/06/19.
- Redeem your code in Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch.
- Your Piranha Plant DLC will be unlocked in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate when it becomes available in 2019 (exact date TBD).
- Please note: you can still receive the Piranha Plant even if you do not have an active Nintendo Switch Online membership.
I pre-ordered the game through a retailer or online store, am I still eligible for this promotion?
Yes. Just be sure to either redeem the download code via Nintendo eShop or register your physical copy of the game on My Nintendo before 1 February 2019.
