Which type of My Nintendo points are missing from your balance?

    • Gold Points are earned in several ways:
      • Purchasing downloadable games for Nintendo Switch from the Nintendo website, Nintendo eShop, or retailer-issued download codes.
      • Purchasing (not redeeming) a set of Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers.
      • Registering physical game cards for Nintendo Switch. (Physical software for other systems does not qualify for Gold Points.)
    • Gold Points are only usable in countries with the same currency as the country where they were earned.
    • You earn Gold Points equivalent to 5% (digital) or 1% (physical) of the purchase amount, excluding tax and any points or discounts used.
      • For example, if you spend €59.99 to purchase an eligible digital Nintendo Switch game, you will accrue 300 Gold Points (5%).
      • Physical games earn one-fifth of the Gold Points that would be earned for the equivalent digital version. (For example – if a digital game earns 300 Gold Points, the physical version would earn 60 Gold Points.)
    • Your purchase must meet all of the following requirements to qualify for Gold Points:
      • Digital Software:
        • Digital game or set of two Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers purchase through Nintendo eShop, Nintendo’s website, or retailer-issued download code. (Redeemed Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers, and passes do not qualify.)
      • Physical Software
        • Physical game for Nintendo Switch only. (Physical software for other systems does not qualify.)
        • Make sure that you have redeemed the game correctly on your Nintendo Switch console.
        • A game card can be redeemed only one time. If it has already been redeemed by one Nintendo Account, it can’t be redeemed again with another one.
        • Gold Points for physical games must be claimed within two years of the game’s original release date (within one year for regions other than Europe and South Africa). If a physical version of a game is released later than the digital version, it may no longer qualify for Gold Points.
