    How to Charge the Nintendo 64 Controller

    In this article, you'll learn how to charge the Nintendo 64 Controller for use with Nintendo Switch consoles.

    Note

    • It takes approximately 3.5 hours to fully charge a Nintendo 64 Controller.
    • Once the Nintendo 64 Controller is fully charged, the recharge LED beside the USB connector will turn off.
    • The Nintendo 64 Controller can also be charged by connecting it to a licensed accessory.

    Complete these steps

    The Nintendo 64 Controller can be charged in the following ways:

    While connected directly to the Nintendo Switch AC adapter.

    Connect the Nintendo Switch AC adapter (model HAC-002) to the USB port at the top of the Nintendo 64 Controller, then to a wall outlet.

    While connected to the Nintendo Switch dock.

    1. Connect the Nintendo Switch AC adapter to the dock and then to a wall outlet.
      • The Nintendo Switch console does not need to be placed in the dock in order to charge the Nintendo 64 Controller.
    2. Connect the USB charging cable to an available USB port on the dock, then to the USB port at the top of the Nintendo 64 Controller.
