Games that support local or online multiplayer features often have a way to invite friends or join a friend's game from within the game itself. Check the game’s menu or settings for assistance with setting up a multiplayer game. It is not possible to invite specific people on your friend list to join a multiplayer game via your user page on Nintendo Switch.

When someone on your friend list has invited you to join their game, you can view and accept their invitation by selecting your user icon from the top-left corner of the HOME Menu and scrolling down to Online Play Invitations.
