    How to Change the Game Display Mode and Background Frame

    Description:

    Instructions to change the display or frame within a game on the Nintendo Classic Mini: Super Nintendo Entertainment System console.

    Additional Information:

    The different display options and frames apply to games only. They do not affect the HOME menu display.

    What to Do:

    To change the display:

    1. From the HOME Menu, go to the menu bar at the top of the screen and select the Display icon.

    2. There are three modes you can use to display a game:
      • CRT Filter - Looks like an old TV, scan lines and all.
      • 4:3 - Gives you an old-school game look with a slight horizontal stretch.
      • Pixel Perfect - Each pixel is a perfect square, so you see the games exactly as designed.
    3. Use the +Control Pad to highlight the display mode of your choice, then press A to select it.
      • There is no on-screen confirmation of the change.
    4. Press B to return to the HOME Menu or scroll down to the change the frame.
      • The new display mode will be visible upon starting or resuming a game.

    To change the frame:

    1. Use the +Control Pad to highlight a frame on the bottom of the screen, then press A to select it.
      • The new frame will be visible upon starting or resuming a game.
    2. Press B to return to the HOME Menu.
