For those interested in learning more about the revered RPG series, the Nintendo Treehouse team showed off some of the new additions that adventurers can enjoy in DRAGON QUEST XI S: Echoes of Elusive Age – Definitive Edition.

This deep dive was absolutely packed with new content, from new mounts that you can ride on, to the new orchestrated soundtrack and the ability to switch between Japanese and English voice-tracks – to name but a few of the features shown off!

One major new addition shown off in this showcase is 2D Mode – which transforms the entirety of DRAGON QUEST XI S: Echoes of Elusive Age – Definitive Edition into a classic 16-bit RPG, complete with random encounters and beautiful pixel art!

Incorporating a feature that was previously available in the Japan-only Nintendo 3DS release of DRAGON QUEST XI, players can now visit previous DRAGON QUEST worlds. For those who are new to DRAGON QUEST, it’s a perfect way to get a feel for other titles within this legendary franchise.
