    The Super Smash Bros. Ultimate European Smash Ball Team Cup 2019 is just a few days away! Taking place at Amsterdam’s Beurs van Berlage on May 4th and 5th, this tournament will pit teams from across the continent against one another, as they each battle it out to become European champions. Next stop for the champs? The World Championships in Los Angeles on June 8th!

    The group stages will be played on Saturday May 4th from 10:00 (UK time), while the tension rises in the quarter-finals, semi-finals and finals on Sunday May 5th from 10:00 (UK time)!

    How do I watch?

    Fans who want to support and root for their local teams at the finals in Amsterdam can apply for a ticket here.

    For those who can’t make it to the live event in Amsterdam, the tournament will be livestreamed on Twitch and YouTube.

    Who’s fighting who?

    Here’s the group drawing. One of these teams holds the future European champions!

    The quarter-final bracket will be drawn only after all group matches have ended.

    What can they win?

    On top of pride, the winning team will come away with a trophy and specially designed Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Nintendo Switch Pro Controllers!

    The champions will also go on to represent Europe in the World Championship, held in Los Angeles on June 8th.

    What are the rules?

    Qualified teams will be split into four groups, with the top two teams of each group moving on to the quarter-finals stage. The winners in group, quarter- and semi-finals will be decided by a best-of-five Set, featuring these matches:

    Match 1: 2v2 (best of 1)

    Match 2: 1v1 Smashdown (BO1)

    Match 3: 1v1 Smashdown (BO1)

    Match 4: 1v1 Smashdown (BO1)

    Match 5: 3v3 Squad Strike (BO1)

    In the Grand Final, matches 1 – 4 will be best of three.
