Whether you’re racing your family on the big screen in your living room, playing in the park, or visiting a friend’s place, Nintendo Switch lets you play Mario Kart any way you like! Up to eight players can connect for local multiplayer fun, or enjoy split-screen multiplayer for up to four players* via either TV or tabletop mode. You can also enjoy online multiplayer** for up to 12 players.

Race head-to-head on a whopping 48 courses, including tracks inspired by The Legend of Zelda, Animal Crossing and more. This time, Mario and co. are joined by new and returning drivers like King Boo, Dry Bones and Bowser Jr. – even the Inklings from Splatoon are getting in on the fun! You can also now carry two items at once, and with returning items like Boo and the Feather*** in the mix, there are even more ways to turn the tables in your favour! If you're new to Mario Kart, you can activate the new Smart Steering feature to enjoy the race without going off-track!

Fancy a change of pace? Try facing off against your rivals in the revamped, expanded battle mode! Choose from classic modes like Balloon Battle or new additions like cops and robbers-style Renegade Roundup, and settle the score on eight dedicated battle courses.
