With the 30th anniversary of the original Super Mario Bros. in full swing, there’s never been a better time to celebrate three decades of the one and only Super Mario!

In the 30 years since the Japanese release of Super Mario Bros. for the Nintendo Entertainment System, the always-energetic hero has run through hundreds of memorable courses, donned a wardrobe’s worth of interesting but always stylish outfits, and thwarted Bowser’s dastardly plans time and time again.

From trying to reach the Goal Pole to soaring through space, scroll through a timeline spanning Mario’s greatest hits and see how this gaming icon has transformed. You can even watch a special movie created to commemorate this once-in-a-lifetime occasion.

Join countless fans sharing their creative video tributes on Let’s Super Mario.

During our Nintendo Digital Event at E3 2015, we invited fans to create and submit videos showing off their love and passion for our moustachioed hero. From music videos to classic Mario moments reimagined, the responses are every bit as varied as Mario’s adventures!

A Mario game that never ends!

Also launching in this celebratory year is Super Mario Maker on Wii U, a game that gives players access to an ever-growing number of courses from Mario fans around the world*.

With a toolkit crammed full of iconic Mario enemies, items and areas at your disposal, let your imagination loose using the Wii U GamePad to craft amazing 2D courses. Share your one-of-a-kind creations online, then download and try to best another player’s masterpiece.
