  • In shops and on Nintendo eShop now: The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD

    04/10/2013

A life of high-seas adventure awaits courageous heroes and heroines as The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD launches across Europe today, exclusively on Wii U.

Originally released for Nintendo GameCube in 2003, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker comes to Wii U with a number of improvements. Navigate the Great Sea more quickly than before by purchasing a swifter sail, and enjoy an improved collection event in the game’s second half. Experience a true challenge in Hero Mode, where enemy attacks inflict twice the damage and health-replenishing hearts are nowhere to be found. Plus, for the first time in the series, explore an imaginative world created with incredible 1080p high-definition graphics and uncompressed 5.1 PCM surround sound.

Link’s timeless adventure is available across Europe in a number of editions. The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD Limited Edition includes the game, exclusive double-sided cover sleeve with Zelda artwork, and high-quality Ganondorf figurine, and The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD Premium Pack includes a Wii U console, limited edition Zelda Wii U GamePad, and full game download. A standard edition of the game is also available at retailers, while a convenient downloadable version* means Wii U owners can always have the game on their system ready to play, no matter what’s in the disc slot.
