Choose the download version of Nintendo 3DS packaged software and receive additional benefits!

Nintendo eShop already offers a convenient way to purchase software by downloading it straight to your Nintendo 3DS system, but now there’s another great reason to buy from Nintendo eShop.
As the limited time double Stars offer was so successful, in the future you’ll earn double Stars every time you download the download version of Nintendo 3DS packaged software on a Nintendo 3DS system linked to your Club Nintendo account*, and complete a survey within 28 days.
To ensure you receive the additional 250 Stars on top of the 250 Stars you normally receive for registering Nintendo 3DS software with Club Nintendo, you must fulfil the following criteria:
- Link your Nintendo 3DS or Nintendo 3DS XL system to your Club Nintendo account. Learn how to do this in our Nintendo 3DS Support section
- Download a download version of Nintendo 3DS packaged software from Nintendo eShop
- Complete a short survey within 28 days of your download
Downloading from Nintendo eShop is a quick and easy way to get your hands on titles including New Super Mario Bros. 2, Freakyforms Deluxe Your Creations, Alive! and New Art Academy: Learn New Painting Techniques and Share Your Art**. Being able to store multiple games on a single SD Card means there’s no need to swap Game Cards when you want to switch from storming Bowser’s strongholds to brushing up on your latest work of art.
There are more titles coming to Nintendo eShop soon, too. Hershel Layton and his apprentice Luke come to Nintendo 3DS for the first time in Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask, available in stores and from Nintendo eShop on October 26th. Stay tuned for more details on upcoming releases in Nintendo eShop, and remember: from now on, all download versions of Nintendo 3DS packaged software will earn you double Stars after completion of a short survey within 28 days*.
After downloading your software, simply complete the survey within 28 days to claim your bonus 250 Stars.* If you complete the survey after 28 days, you’ll miss out on the bonus Stars and will only receive the usual 250 Stars for registering Nintendo 3DS software.*
Stars can be redeemed for gifts in the Club Nintendo Stars Catalogue, and with double Stars for downloading you’ll be able to treat yourself to a cool exclusive item in no time!
