Zack and Wiki: Quest for Barbaros' Treasure

System: Wii, Wii U Release date: 18/01/2008

Important information

As of 27/03/2023, it will no longer be possible to make purchases in Nintendo eShop for Wii U and the Nintendo 3DS family of systems.

Enter a world of puzzles and piracy in Wii adventure Zack and Wiki: Quest for Barbaros’ Treasure. Crafted exclusively for Wii by Capcom, this point-and-click puzzle-solving adventure will have you racking your brains as you guide budding pirate Zack and his sidekick Wiki the monkey through eye-popping levels in search of untold riches.

As an apprentice pirate, Zack spends his days searching for a long lost treasure that is said to be buried on a mysterious island. One day, he stumbles across a talking skull that turns out to be part of the remains of legendary pirate Barbaros. The ghost of Barbaros promises to lead Zack to the island he seeks if the young pirate will lift the curse he has been placed under and bring him back to life by collecting treasure from chests scattered throughout seven dangerous locations.

Instead of directly controlling Zack and Wiki’s movements, you use the Wii Remote to point at items or areas on screen and then press the A Button to lead them there. Interacting with items and characters the duo come across will help to solve the problems in your path as you try to reach the all-important treasure chests. Different items will require you to use the Wii Remote in different ways: you can rotate handles, push doors and play musical instruments just by moving the Wii Remote accordingly.

With beautiful cartoon style graphics, a quirky storyline and a difficulty curve that will ease you in gently but ultimately stretch your puzzle solving abilities to the limit, Zack and Wiki: Quest for Barbaros’ Treasure is a game well worth discovering!

  • Explore everywhere from a jungle to the inside of a volcano as you help Zack and Wiki on their quest to find Barbaros’ treasure.
  • Interact with items by pointing the Wii Remote at them and clicking the A Button. Using different items will require you to move the Wii Remote in specific ways.
  • Spend some of the loot you have collected on a hint if you get stuck!
