The Exam Begins

Some ninja-in-training have incredible speed - others amazing technique, but to move up in the ranks of the ninja elite, a ninja won’t go anywhere if he doesn’t perfect both. Do you have what it takes to rise above the rest?

In Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution – European Version, you’re dropped into the Chunin Exam storyline played out in the television series, depicting the conflict between the villages of the Hidden Leaf and the Hidden Sand. During the exam, you square off against other Chunin hopefuls - some with cruel intentions – in the hopes of finding favour with the judges who determine which ninja graduate to Chunin rank.

You’ll be blown away by the sharp, cel-shaded graphics. Not only do the characters look their best, the fighting arenas look stunningly similar to those from the animated series. Some of the characters from the series are appearing in the Naruto: Clash of Ninja series for the first time, and you’ll be able to unlock them by playing Mission Mode. As an extra twist, during a fight it’s now possible to move the action to another environment by performing a strong attack near the border of the arena – a first in the Naruto series.

Add mini-games, including a Shuriken Throw mini-game, on top of the fighting action, and you get a Naruto experience unrivalled in the series!

Naruto Uzumaki

Naruto aims to surpass the Hokage, and his strength lies in his drive to achieve this ultimate goal. Because the power of the Nine-Tailed Fox is sealed inside his body, most villagers resented him as a child. For years, he had no idea what he really was, but with this awesome power inside him, he could become the strongest Hokage. Occasionally displaying flashes of brilliance, Naruto is a Genin worth keeping an eye on.

Sasuke Uchiha

A descendant of the Uchiha Clan, Sasuke possesses both talent and skill. Recovering from the horror of his clan’s slaughter, Sasuke fights alone, rarely letting his feelings show. The blood of the Uchiha races through his veins. Sasuke can use a variety of advanced techniques and will learn even more once he gains more battle experience. He craves power, and he will have it.

Sakura Haruno

The only girl on Team Kakashi, Sakura possesses superior intelligence. Looking at her, you might think she favours romance over tedious practice, but she actually has a much deeper understanding of the ninja way than most. She has a strong sense of responsibility and the brains to back it up.

Kakashi Hatake

Kakashi is among the most powerful ninja in the village. “The Copy Ninja,” as he’s known, leads Squad 7, and thanks to his instruction, the Genin are improving rapidly. Thanks to his awesome Sharingan ability, his name is known throughout many countries, mostly because of this mysterious ability. His pupils Naruto, Sasuke and Sakura have benefited greatly from his keen eye for details.

Special Wii Controls

Naruto: Clash of Ninja Revolution puts ninja power firmly in your hands, and you get the choice of wielding your favourite weapon. Whether you enter the arena with just a Wii Remote, a Classic Controller or a GameCube controller, it’s all up to you!

But there’s no better tool for showing you belong amongst the ninja elite than a nunchuk – a Nunchuk controller, that is. The Wii Remote plus Nunchuk controller scheme gives you that extra edge.

During battle, you’ll have a chance to add extra power to your secret techniques if you use the Nunchuk attachment. Once your character performs a secret technique, you’ll need to mimic the controller movements you see on screen. If you succeed, the secret technique gains more power, becoming more destructive.

Mini-games

Making your way through the storyline of the Mission Mode or pummelling your friends in Multiplayer is all well and good, but sometimes a ninja needs some time to find his inner power. The first Naruto game on Wii lets you play a variety of mini-games that provide just the ticket!

mini_games_001.jpg

Shuriken Training

A ninja must be quick and accurate with his shuriken and cut down his enemies before they have a chance to strike back. In this training exercise, you throw shurikens at cut-outs of Naruto characters, using the Wii Remote’s pointer to aim and the A Button to throw. The part of the body you hit the cut-out with will determine your score.

Shadow Clone Jutsu

Naruto’s ability to create shadow clones gives him an edge against enemies who can’t tell the clone from the real thing. In this mini-game, you’ll need to follow the real Naruto as he tries to hide himself among his clones. When you think you know the real Naruto, use the Control Stick to select his direction and then flick the Wii Remote to hit him.

Rasengan Training

To succeed in the Rasengan Training exercise, you must focus on building up as much power as possible, rotating the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers to generate energy. Once you’ve charged the Rasengan, you’ll need to thrust the controllers forward at just the right moment to cause as much destruction as possible. It’s tricky, but you can do it!
