Prisma City was once a vibrant hub of activity, full of rocking music and happy citizens – until the INKT Corporation drained the spectrum dry and made sure everything was reduced to bland black and white. To make matters worse, crazy scientist Dr. Von Blot has been scheming in alliance with INKT in his underground facility to create mutated monsters – which include the ultimate source of badness, de Blot!
With so many negative vibes in the air, it’s going to take a hero with a whole lot of creativity to set things right. Enter Blob, the revolutionary rogue with the skills to return Prisma City to its former glory.
Playing as Blob, you’ll have to overcome puzzles and platform challenges, defeating bad guys like the tough Armoured Inky and explosive Grenadier Inky along the way. Certain tasks can only be completed if Blob is the right colour at the right moment, so be sure to seek out Paintbots that will allow him to transform into all sorts of new shades.
On top of the power of colour, Blob can also take advantage of his environment to get the job done. Use slingshots to clear chasms, slippery slides to speed progress and boost pads for some serious vertical lift. Add in the fact that Blob can expect a little assistance from his friends Prof and Pinky, and the outlook suddenly doesn’t look so gloomy!
As you advance through Prisma City you’ll see your share of unhappy citizens known as Graydians. Thankfully these poor souls can be set free by Blob with a splash of colour, and liberating every Graydian on a level will earn you a reward. A less common sight, but one you should keep an eye out for, are Chroma Cameras. If you are playing de Blob 2 on a Nintendo DSi or Nintendo DSi XL, collecting these cameras will lead you to a mini-game in which you must collect colour energy using the system's outer camera. Grab all 15 of the Chroma Cameras hidden throughout the game and the rewards are bound to be colourful!
Assume the role of Blob and battle blandness at every turn as you crush the INKT Corporation and set off on a collision course with your new nemesis, de Blot. It’s a mission only the most colourful thinkers will complete!
