Can you defend a moving target and a stationary one at the same time? As well as protecting the villages, you now have to keep the new railroad safe from monsters, who will attack the train and the very rails it runs on. If the rails are destroyed, the train will derail, so stop those monsters before they can do any damage! But don’t forget about those villages - you'll have to plan each battle carefully to keep the train safe while making sure the Grocks don’t overrun the villages. It won’t be easy to protect two targets at the same time, so make sure to prepare carefully to ensure you’re up to the challenge!

Dillon's trusty assistant Russ will keep detailed records of every battle, which you can also share with other players via StreetPass, and if you pay close attention, you might find something you can use to your advantage next time. Once you successfully protect a village three times, you can re-play it in Unlimited Mode, wth no limit on the money you withdraw from your reserves at the beginning of the level. This gives you much more freedom, but you still need to strategise for the perfect gameplay balance!

The New Rangers

This time, Dillon isn’t battling the Grocks all by himself. He will meet allies on the plains, and only by taking advantage of their skills will it be possible to defeat the Grocks. Each one needs to be convinced to help you, but once you’ve won them over they’ll stand ready to join you  when you need them. But these wild outlaw types don’t always get along with each other, so you can only bring one ally along at a time.

Gallo

A professional assassin, loyal only to whoever will pay him the most. He fights using either a rifle or pistol and carries coins around – for good luck, perhaps?

CI7_DIllionsRollingWestern2_CTRN_JGW_char04_1_R_ad.png

Boone

A truly selfish mercenary, but he's big and strong. When he's not fighting with his “bear” hands, he's using a shotgun!

CI7_DIllionsRollingWestern2_CTRN_JGW_char05_1_R_ad.png

Nomad

A pirate from the East Sea with a knack for many weapons, including the flintlock pistol and other, secret weapons. He has the ability to swim quickly underwater, but unfortunately, he doesn't speak the same language as Dillon.

Dillon’s Abilities

Dillon will need to bring all of his skills to the plains to stand a chance against the Grocks this time around. His moves from last time will still come in handy, and he’s been training hard and learning new moves, too!

CI7_DIllionsRollingWestern2_Dillon_lastRanger_scr_03_ENG.png

The roll attack is Dillon's signature move. He curls himself up and smashes into enemies with devastating force. Power up to full charge before unleashing an incredibly powerful Charge Attack, which can take out multiple enemies.

Dillon's claws are also powerful weapons, used to perform powerful claw attacks, and can be upgraded by purchasing special gloves. One of Dillon's most useful moves is the grind attack. Using the spikes on his back, Dillon can wear down enemies, and you can even use the grind attack to excavate ore when you're not in battle.

By collecting ancient relics which grant him special powers, Dillon can also use two additional special attacks. Attack monsters from below by performing a tunnel attack, or catch the Grocks off-guard with a drift attack from the side!

Meet the Grocks

The Grocks are rock monsters who feed on the villagers’ Scrogs. They first emerged more than a year ago, but Dillon was able to defeat them. Now they’re back, threatening not just the Scrogs and the villages, but the transcontinental railroad. Here's a brief introduction to a small number of the Grocks you'll battle out on the plains.

Weakgrocks

One of the more common enemies you’ll encounter, making their return in Dillon's Rolling Western: The Last Ranger. They attack by headbutting, though they should be no match for the mighty Dillon!

Mawgrocks

These aquatic enemies make their debut in Dillon's Rolling Western: The Last Ranger, and you’ll will find them near water. They can swim and have tough chins, which they use to attack anyone who gets in their way!

Rail Ramgrock

Another new enemy, and these vandals will stop at nothing to derail the train. They target the rails, and if they succeed in their attack, it spells trouble for the transcontinental railroad. Can you stop them before they get the chance?

Strategy

CI7_DIllionsRollingWestern2_Dillon_lastRanger_scr_26_ENG.png

Using Touch Screen controls, choose the strategy that suits you best. There are as many different strategies as there are players, and whether you prefer to use short-range shotguns, slow-firing cannons or a combination of different weapons, you’ll need to keep an eye out for any monsters who manage to evade your towers. Dillon and his fellow Rangers will have to deal with them face-to-face!

CI7_DIllionsRollingWestern2_Dillon_lastRanger_scr_26_ENG_BottomScreen.png

Use the daytime to plan your strategy and prepare your defences, collect Ore and gather Scruffles for the Scrogs, so that when the evening rolls around you’re as ready as can be for battle. Take advantage of nighttime to buy upgrades from merchants, practise your attacks and play side-quests, then rest up and heal for the hard day ahead.
