Terms and Conditions

Entry is open to residents of Great Britain, excluding employees and the immediate families of the Promoter, its agents or anyone professionally connected with the promotion.
If you are under 18 you are representing that you have consent from your parents/guardian to enter the competition in accordance with our terms and conditions and privacy policy.
By entering the competition, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
Entries to the competition will close at 23:59 on Sunday 11 November 2018.
Entries should be sent by post to Splatoon 2 Fan Art Competition, Nintendo UK, Quadrant, 55-57 High Street, Windsor, SL4 1LP or emailed to nintendocommunity@nintendo.co.uk with the subject line “Splatoon 2 Fan Art” and include the name, email address, postal address and telephone number of the person entering. The Promoter regrets that it is unable to return entries.
All entries must be the original creative work of the person submitting the entry. You may not submit works created by another person. Digital images must be either .jpg or .png format and must be high resolution (300 dpi preferred).
Ten winning entries will be selected by an independent judging panel according to which art is considered to be the most creative, original and apt as per the topic. The winners will be informed via email within 7 days. If a winner does not respond within 28 days the Promoter reserves the right to award the prize to a substitute entry. Of these ten selected entries, three will be chosen as the overall winning entries at the Splatoon 2 UK Championship 2018 Grand Final due to take place at MCM Birmingham Comic Con on Sunday 25 November 2018.
The ten winning entries will each receive two weekend tickets to attend MCM Birmingham Comic Con on Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 November 2018. These winners will need to make themselves available to take part in the selection of the overall winners on the Nintendo stage at 14:00 on Sunday 25 November 2018.
The three overall winners will receive a print of their original artwork signed by Hisashi Nogami (Producer of Splatoon 2), along with a Splatoon 2 Prize Pack.
There is no cash or other prize alternatives. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute any prize for an alternative of equal or greater value.
All entries must be made directly by the person entering the competition. No responsibility can be accepted for entries lost, delayed or corrupted, or due to computer error in transit.
The promoter reserves the right to verify all entries and the winner, including, but not limited to, age and eligibility to enter, and to refuse to award the prize, or withdraw prize entitlement, where there are reasonable grounds to believe there has been a breach of these terms and conditions or any instructions forming part of this promotions entry requirements.

Entrants agree to grant Nintendo permission to use any photographs and/or video footage taken at MCM Birmingham Comic Con in which they are featured throughout the world, in all and any media including without limitation, in any publicity materials, websites, newspapers and magazine articles. a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence, for the full period of any intellectual property rights in the competition entry, to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence the competition entry. Nintendo may use the entries, any photographs and/or video footage taken at MCM Birmingham Comic Con in future promotions including in its marketing materials, on its website, on its social media channels and in any other media from time to time. Entrants’ personal data will be collected, stored and processed strictly for the purposes of administering and assessing this prize draw.

The Promoter and its associated companies and agents excludes all responsibility for and all liabilities arising from any postponement, cancellation, delay or changes to the prize details, or arising from use of the prize, to the extent permitted by English law.
The name and county of the winner will be made available on written request to the Promoter.
