What are the payment options?

The downloading of software is done through the use of Wii Points. You can purchase Wii Points through the Wii Shop Channel using a Visa or a MasterCard. You can also buy a Nintendo Points Card and convert Nintendo Points to Wii Points.

Wii Points have no monetary value and cannot be redeemed for cash. All Points and software downloads are only for use on a single Wii console and are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Where can I purchase Nintendo Points Cards?

You can obtain a Nintendo Points Card at many retailers that carry Nintendo products.

How do I use a Nintendo Points Card?

To redeem a Nintendo Points Card, select ADD Wii POINTS from the Wii Shop Channel main menu. Scratch off the silver area on the back of the card to reveal the Points Card activation number. Enter the activation number into the appropriate field on the screen. After you submit the number, the number of Points printed on the front of the card will be added to your account.

Can I use Nintendo eShop Cards on my Wii?

Yes, this is possible.

How can I remove my Wii Shop Channel Account?

Please select SETTINGS from the Wii Shop Channel menu, then select REMOVE Wii SHOP CHANNEL ACCOUNT.
If you remove your Wii Shop Channel Account, all of your registered Wii Points and downloaded software will be deleted, and you will not be able to re-download the software for free.
If your Wii console is transferred to another person, your registered Wii Points and the software you have downloaded cannot be transferred, so your Wii Shop Channel Account will first have to be removed.
Caution! Once your Wii Shop Channel Account has been removed, you will not be able to recover it.
