Applies to: Wii

Please note that the Connection Ambassador Promotion ended on 21st November 2012 at 23:59 CET (22:59 UK time).

The Connection Ambassador promotion rewards users who help others connect their Wii consoles to the Internet. Both parties can receive 500 Wii Points by registering each others’ Wii Numbers.

Select CONNECTION AMBASSADOR PROMOTION from the Wii Shop Channel Welcome Screen. The Connection Ambassador Menu will be displayed. This menu can also be accessed by selecting SETTINGS/OTHER on the Main Menu of the Wii Shop Channel and then selecting CONNECTION AMBASSADOR.

If you help someone connect their Wii console to the Internet, or if someone helps you to do so, you can register each other’s Wii Numbers and receive 500 Wii Points each. Further notes about the promotion are provided below.

Registering for the Promotion

Before starting, ensure both parties have each other’s Wii Numbers ready.

Note: For information on how to check your Wii Number, please refer to the Wii Message Board section of the Wii Operations Manual – Channels & Settings.

Steps 1-3: Person Who Was Helped

Steps 4-5: Connection Ambassador

After the person you helped has completed steps 1-3, start the Wii Shop Channel on your Wii console.

Note: If you have more than 9,500 Wii Points on your Wii Shop Channel account, you will be unable to register because the 500 Wii Points received from this promotion would bring your balance over the maximum of 10,000 Wii Points. Please ensure that your balance is 9,500 Wii Points or less before trying to register.

6. After steps 1-5 have been completed, start the Wii Shop Channel on your Wii console and follow the on-screen instructions. Registration of your Connection Ambassador is complete and you will receive 500 Wii Points.

Notes About the Connection Ambassador Promotion

The person who was helped must register the Connection Ambassador’s Wii Number within 30 days of their first connection to the Wii Shop Channel.

The Connection Ambassador must register the Wii Number of the person they helped within 30 days of that person registering the Connection Ambassador’s Wii Number. Select CONNECTION AMBASSADOR from the Connection Ambassador Menu and then CHECK REGISTRATION STATUS to check how many days remain for registration.

Registering as a person who was helped and subsequently receiving 500 Wii Points is possible once per Wii console.

Connection Ambassadors can register up to 20 Wii Numbers of people they helped connect and receive 500 Wii Points for each of these registrations. For subsequent registrations, only the person who was helped will receive 500 Wii Points.

Once a Wii console has been registered as a Connection Ambassador and received 500 Wii Points, it cannot be registered as having been helped by someone else.

Only Wii consoles with Wii Shop Channel Accounts from the same country as each other may register each other in the Connection Ambassador promotion.
