Using funds in Nintendo eShop

tiger_icon_balance.jpg To purchase software in Nintendo eShop, you need to add funds to your Nintendo eShop account. You can add funds by tapping the Add Funds symbol on the Main Menu of Nintendo eShop.

There are two ways to add funds to your Nintendo eShop account:

  • Nintendo eShop Card
    Nintendo eShop Cards are available from selected retailers. Please click here to find out where you can get Nintendo eShop Cards. Select the corresponding option on the Add Funds screen, and follow the instructions. You will find the necessary 16-digit activation number by scratching off the silver panel at the back of the Nintendo eShop Card. Nintendo eShop Cards are available in denominations of £15, £25 and £35 (€15, €25 and €35).
  • Credit Card
    The credit cards supported by Nintendo eShop, are MasterCard and VISA. You can see a receipt of your purchase by accessing Account Activity through the Main Menu. To use your credit card to purchase software, select the corresponding option on the Add Funds screen, and follow the instructions. You can add funds in denominations of £10, £20 and £30 (or €10, €20 and €30).

Note that the Nintendo eShop currency displays prices in the currency that corresponds to the region settings of your Nintendo 3DS system.
