  • Unwrap some info on Yoshi for Nintendo Switch with Treehouse Live

    04/08/2017

Next year, Yoshi returns in an adorable adventure set in a cardboard world filled with construction paper cows, kitchen roll bridges and all kinds of handcrafted things, only on Nintendo Switch! It might look like a traditional side-scrolling platformer, but prepare to have your expectations turned over – once you’ve explored the front side of a stage, you can spin it right around to get a completely different angle on the action and uncover even more surprises!

Like many other Yoshi titles, you’ll still chuck eggs, gobble up enemies with a lash of your tongue and Flutter Jump over gaps. Now, though, you’ve also got to keep your eyes on the foreground and background to spot secrets, baddies and loads of crafty obstacles!

During E3 2017, Nintendo Treehouse Live showed off some of the game’s multi-sided stages and the co-operative two-player mode, played with a Joy-Con each. Unique to multiplayer is the ability to flip stages on the fly with a well-timed simultaneous Ground Pound – perfect for seeking out secrets with friends.
