#ILoveNES - The best NES nostalgia photos from UK Nintendo fans
24/08/2016
Earlier this month we launched the #ILoveNES contest to celebrate the upcoming launch of the Nintendo Classic Mini: Nintendo Entertainment System. To be in with a chance of winning the new console we asked UK Nintendo fans to post photos to Twitter or Instagram, showing their love and nostalgia for the NES and we were thrilled, overwhelmed and humbled by the amazing response.
We received scores of fantastic entries but in the end the winner is Instagram user @bravowstar for his creative photos you can see below…
Here we’ve selected a few more of our favourite entries from the #ILoveNES contest. Feast your eyes on these if you have fond memories of the Eighties…
#ILoveNES because I can make a love heart out of my collection. The games are alright too :P pic.twitter.com/vkOJ2e6veg

What a great collection, and so lovingly displayed! We see not just some classic Nintendo games but a wealth of great third party titles too. There’s a lifetime of fun in those cartridges.
#ILoveNES and I have done all my life. Here's me in 1989, aged 6, rocking cosplay before it was a thing pic.twitter.com/hkXZQZqG0T

Who knows where a love for Nintendo games can take you. 17 years later, young Chris found himself working as a staff writer on the UK’s Official Nintendo Magazine. You might say it was his destiny.
#ILoveNES Because it introduced me to Retro Gaming back in 2012. #NES @NintendoUK pic.twitter.com/YrcdYi12JH

Another superb collection with a great variety of classic games. Charlie must love the NES… He owns two of them!
Optimus Prime, Megatron, ET, The Ghostbusters and Thunderbirds protect my NES from the evil of 4k LED TVs. #ILoveNES pic.twitter.com/IkGlTahC1Z

We can’t get enough of how Eighties this shelf is. It brings back many fond memories. We also spot another nostalgic piece of Nintendo hardware in there…
You’re never too young to enjoy the classics so we’re thrilled to see schoolkids collecting NES games. We wouldn't know which of these to play first!
