    13/02/2015

Whether you're looking for a compact, light and customisable handheld or a dynamic gaming experience on larger screens, there's a system for everybody as New Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS XL launch today. Accompanying these new handheld systems, The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D, Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate and many more titles are also out today on Nintendo 3DS family systems!

Out now, New Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS XL bring new customisation options, new speed, new controls, new 3D viewing and a whole new handheld gaming experience!

ZL and ZR Buttons have been added next to the L and R Buttons, and a new C Stick can be found near the A, B, X and Y Buttons, expanding your control options. Improved CPU performance also allows for faster loading of applications such as Miiverse and you can also enjoy faster speeds for downloading software.*

The super-stable 3D function allows the system to recognise your face using the inner camera, automatically adjusting the angle – even if you move a lot during gameplay – to give the best possible 3D experience. Also, New Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS XL have an area on the bottom screen with NFC reading and writing functions built-in, so you can enjoy playing with amiibo in compatible software!

On New Nintendo 3DS only, you can customise the exterior design of your system with replaceable cover plates! Cover plates come as sets of front and back plates, in a variety of different designs and fun textures. Swap them out whenever you please, and combine different front and back plates for a totally unique look! New Nintendo 3DS XL features bigger screens so you can get even more engrossed in your games, and both New Nintendo 3DS and New Nintendo 3DS XL are backwards compatible with your existing library!

The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D also launches today for Nintendo 3DS family systems. In this remaster of the fan-favourite Nintendo 64 title from 2000, join Link as he seeks to save the land of Termina from a crushing fate – in three days, the moon will crash down and destroy everything and everyone in its path. By using the magical Ocarina of Time, Link must travel through time, reliving the same three days over and over again, to prevent calamity and save the world. By wearing various masks, Link can also transform into entirely different species, allowing him to use special abilities that he wouldn’t usually have!

At the same time, New Nintendo 3DS XL Majora’s Mask Edition will be available, a special edition system that includes a New Nintendo 3DS XL Majora’s Mask Edition system plus a copy of The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D pre-installed on a 4GB memory card. Also releasing at launch, The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask 3D Special Edition is a limited quantity software offering including a specially-designed SteelBook™, a copy of the game delivered in its standalone packaging, a Majora’s Mask pin badge, and a double-sided poster showcasing the game’s iconic art style.

Take up your weapons, greet your fellow adventurers and head for the field to battle huge, fearsome creatures in Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate on Nintendo 3DS family systems! With full online and local co-op play, the fight for the land looms large in this sprawling action RPG!
