  • Play Wii Sports Club for free this weekend!

    20/03/2014

Wii Sports Club is a new way of experiencing all your favourite Wii Sports events, enhanced with new modes and features only available on Wii U. Enjoy deeper gameplay, online multiplayer and the chance to join clubs, all while getting active with your favourite sports!

Now there’s another great opportunity to try Wii Sports Club, as you can play all the available sports – that’s Tennis, Bowling and Golf – for free between 11am (UK time) on Friday March 21st and 11:59pm (UK time) on Sunday March 23rd*! Invite your friends and family to challenge them to a match locally, or pair up with a doubles partner in Tennis to compete online against other players in Europe and Australia.

This weekend is also the perfect opportunity to check out the new Resort golf course, added on March 14th. To get access to these nine extra holes, which first challenged players in Wii Sports Resort, simply start Wii Sports Club while connected to the internet to download the free software update. Find out more about software updates in our Support section.

Wii Sports Club is available as a free download from Nintendo eShop now. You can also receive it automatically in your HOME Menu if you have chosen to receive automatic software downloads, and if you have sufficient available storage space**. Wii Sports Club comes together with a Day Pass that allows you to play for free for 24 hours when the game is started for the first time. If you start the game for the first time during the promotion period, which runs from 11am (UK time) on Friday March 21st until 11:59pm (UK time) on Sunday March 23rd 2014, you can enjoy the promotion and you’ll still be able to use your free 24-hour Day Pass when you start the software again at a later date after the promotion ends.

To keep playing after the promotion ends, you need to purchase a Day Pass, which lets you play all the currently available sports for 24 hours starting from the time of purchase. Or, to enjoy your favourite sport with no time restrictions, you can purchase a Single-Sport Pass for unlimited access to the sport of your choice. It’s up to you! Visit our Wii Sports Club website for more information about the available sports, passes, and much more.

Wii Sports Club is available to download now from Nintendo eShop, only on Wii U. Tennis, Bowling and Golf are available now, while Baseball and Boxing will be released in the future.

*The promotion period starts at 11:00 UK time on March 21st 2014 and ends at 23:59 UK time on March 23rd 2014. SpotPass content must be enabled for Wii Sports Club in order to take part in the promotion. Internet connection required during play. Registration of a Nintendo Network ID and acceptance of the Nintendo Network Agreement and Privacy Policy are required.

**Depending on the Wii U hardware pack you own and your use of it, an additional storage device may be required to download software from Nintendo eShop.
