2013 has been a landmark year for Nintendo 3DS thanks to the launch of Nintendo 2DS, several new limited edition Nintendo 3DS XL consoles and a host of great new games including Pokémon X and Pokémon Y, Animal Crossing: New Leaf and many more…

To celebrate this fantastic year, we’re inviting UK Nintendo 3DS owners to tell us why they love their Nintendo 3DS family console by creating a short video. What kind of Nintendo 3DS hardware do you own? How does it fit into your life? What are your favourite games? Tell us all about it and we may feature your video on our channel!

Qualifying videos may be hosted on the official Nintendo 3DS UK YouTube channel and will be entered into a prize draw to win a limited edition Nintendo 3DS XL LUIGI SPECIAL EDITION, available exclusively from store.nintendo.co.uk

To be eligible to feature on the Nintendo 3DS UK YouTube channel, all you need to do is make a Me and #My3DS video, of around 60 seconds in length, showing us your Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo 3DS XL or Nintendo 2DS and explaining your own personal reasons why you love it.

You can make your video as creative as you wish but production values are not important – just have fun, be creative and entertaining. To qualify for inclusion your video must comply with our Terms and Conditions and meet the entry criteria. Remember especially to keep the video around 60 seconds and include Me and #My3DS in your video title!

HOW TO ENTER

Step One:

Make sure you read and agree to the terms and conditions below.

Step Two:

Make a video of yourself and your Nintendo 3DS, explaining why you love your system!

• Videos must be all your own work

• Videos must use the phrase Me and #My3DS in their title

• Videos must be around 60 seconds in length

• Videos must not have previously been broadcast or posted anywhere else

• Only you should appear in the video – no-one else

• Videos must show your Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo 3DS XL or Nintendo 2DS

• Do not include any offensive, indecent, obscene or violent language or other offensive content

• Do not include material (e.g. music, video, artwork, photographs) which is not owned by either you or Nintendo

• You must obtain the permission of anyone filming you to use the video

• Entries must also comply with the current YouTube Terms of Service

• Video files must be provided in one of the following file formats: .MPEG4; .MOV; .AVI; or .WMV; .MPEGPS; .FLV; 3GPP; WebM; or any other format accepted by YouTube

Step Three:

Send an email to my3ds@nintendo.co.uk between 9.00 am on 11th of November 2013 and 5.00pm on 9th of December 2013 with a link to your YouTube video or a download link to the video file.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

1. Promoter

1.1 The Promoter is Nintendo UK, Quadrant, 55 - 57 High Street, Windsor, SL4 1LP (”Nintendo“).

2. Eligibility

2.1 The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland only and requires online access and a valid YouTube account to enter. Employees and their immediate families of Nintendo, its agents, and anyone else professionally associated with the contest are excluded.

2.2 Entrants must be over the age of 18.

2.3 The competition will run from 9.00 am on 11th of November 2013 to 5.00pm on 9th of December 2013. Entries received before or after those dates will not be eligible for entry.

2.4 Only one entry per person. All entries must be made directly by the person appearing in the video entry.

2.5 All entries must meet the criteria listed in the “HOW TO ENTER” section.

3. The Competition

3.1 Nintendo may (but is under no obligation to):

(a) post entries on a “Me and #My3DS” playlist on the official Nintendo 3DS UK YouTube channel or other similar channels; and

(b) provide links (including embedded video links) to those entries from other websites, including Facebook and Twitter.

3.2 Nintendo’s posting or promoting of entries during or after the competition period shall not imply that they are eligible for entry or have won any prize, or that the entrant has complied with these terms and conditions.

3.3 Once the competition closes, a winner will be picked at random from among all eligible entries.

4. Verification of Identity

4.1 The winner selected at random will be notified by email within seven days of the competition closing date and asked to provide their full contact details.

4.2 Failure of a winner to respond to the email notification within 48 hours or to provide their full contact details, or failure to meet the eligibility requirements or comply with these terms and conditions may result in forfeiture of the prize. Proof of identity and age may be required. Nintendo reserves the right to ask for verification of information provided by the entrants.

5. Prize

5.1 The winner will receive a Nintendo 3DS XL LUIGI LIMITED EDITION console. There are no prizes for second or third place or otherwise. The prize will be delivered within 30 days of the winner’s confirmation of his or her postal address.

6. Grant of Rights

6.1 By entering the competition, you irrevocably grant Nintendo, its employees, agents, sub-contractors, and licensees permission free of charge and in perpetuity to:

(a) cut, alter, adapt and combine your video with any other material (for example, to create a compilation of entries); and

(b) copy, distribute and broadcast your video (or any part of it) including your image by any means

6.2 You acknowledge that videos entered in the competition and any compilation of them may be available on YouTube, both during and following the end of the competition.

7. Other Terms

7.1 Nintendo reserves the right to obscure third party names and logos and to remove any other third party content from entries, rather than disqualify them.

7.2 The winner’s name, usernames, place of residence and a link to the winning entry may be posted on Nintendo’s websites and social media feeds.

7.3 The prize is non-transferable and no cash or other prize alternative available, in whole or in part, except, owing to circumstances outside the reasonable control of Nintendo, Nintendo reserves the right to substitute a suitable alternative of equal or greater value.

7.4 No responsibility will be accepted for any registration that is illegible, incomplete or does not comply with these terms and conditions in any way.

7.5 Nintendo reserves the right to withdraw, suspend or amend this competition without prior notice in the event of any unforeseen circumstances outside its reasonable control, in particular the removal of the competition by YouTube, the breakdown of hardware or software, the unauthorised intervention of third parties as well as any mechanical, technical or legal problems outside Nintendo’s reasonable control.

7.6 This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, YouTube, Twitter or Facebook and you agree to release them from all liability related to the competition. By entering you are providing information to Nintendo and not to YouTube, Facebook or Twitter.

7.7 Your details will be used for the purposes of the promotion and administration of this competition and the delivery of prizes(s) only. For Nintendo’s Privacy Policy, visit www.nintendo.co.uk.

7.8 Any correspondence with Nintendo regarding the selection of the winners is excluded. Questions in this regard cannot be answered. The decisions made by Nintendo are binding.

7.9 Nintendo reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any participant or entry that it determines, in its sole discretion, is ineligible to participate in the competition. Failure to comply with these terms and conditions may result in your disqualification.

7.10 Nintendo’s use of any entry shall not imply compliance with these terms and conditions.

8. Governing Law

8.1 Entrants are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions by participating in this competition. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and are in accordance with English Law and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
