  • Iwata Asks: Pandora's Tower

    04/04/2012

If you're itching to wield the Oraclos Chain with your Wii Remote, you still have a little over a week to wait as Pandora's Tower - the latest in a chain of acclaimed action-packed RPGs for Wii - launches in Europe on 13th April. Until then, why not go behind the scenes of the development of the game with our latest Iwata Asks interview?

Nintendo President Satoru Iwata sat down with the good folks of Ganbarion, who developed the game in co-operation with Nintendo's Software Planning and Development (SPD) department.

As is often the case at Iwata-san's table, the discussion touched upon a wide variety of topics, including:

    • Ganbarion's previous work, including the Japan-exclusive Jump Super Stars games and the One Piece franchise
    • How a common lunchbox led to the game's grotesque core concept
    • The evolution of the gameplay due to the nature of the Wii Remote and Nunchuk controllers
    • The challenge of engaging the player to fall for the character of Elena, who is on a steady course to transform into a terrible beast

Head to our Iwata Asks hub to read the complete interview, Iwata Asks: Pandora's Tower.
