The Nintendo website offers information about Nintendo products in a variety of ways. From offering in-depth coverage of all things Nintendo for hardcore fans to our dedicated Parents section, we welcome anyone to take a look.
At Nintendo we believe that everyone can be a gamer, which is why our products offer gameplay experiences for people of all ages and skill levels. That philosophy is reflected on our website.
We offer our most requested services on this website in a clear and easy to use way. You’ll find our Support section easily accessible to help you out with any issues related to the use of our products.
Our broad tapestry of products covers a wide variety of interests, and by becoming a Club Nintendo member you will be able to tailor your website experience to your needs. By becoming a Club Nintendo member you can tell us about the product categories you take an interest in, and allow us to keep you informed about the products you show an interest in.
In case you find yourself lost on the site, our helpful Mario on the right is always at hand with useful tips, ready to help you find what you’re looking for.
We encourage you to take a look around the site and welcome you to send us your feedback (see Contact page for details).
The Stars Catalogue is the loyalty programme for Club Nintendo members. By registering a Nintendo-published product on this website (with the unique code on the Club Nintendo card in the packaging), you become a Club Nintendo member and begin collecting Stars.
These Stars can then be exchanged for a variety of goodies in our Stars Catalogue. By registering more products, you will collect more Stars. Please note that Stars automatically expire after a period of 24 months.
At Nintendo we believe it’s important for parents to know about their children’s activities, especially on the Internet. As becoming a Club Nintendo member allows your child to subscribe to our newsletters, we want you as a parent to approve of this first.
Upon registering a product, your child will be asked to complete a short survey with questions about your child’s use of the product. The answers provided in that survey will be used strictly for our marketing purposes only.
The registration process clearly states the Terms & Conditions of membership, as well as our Privacy Policy concerning the use of your child’s data.
Your child can subscribe to one of our email newsletters to receive regular updates about Nintendo products directly to his email address. Club Nintendo membership will in the future also offer an inbox on every member’s profile page of the Nintendo site, where we will send our members news updates based on their interests. Additionally, your child has the option of receiving text messages on his mobile phone (via SMS).
Such newsletters, inbox updates and mobile text messages may also contain content about videogame products from third parties that Nintendo is cooperating with, but no personal data (like email address, membership account details or mobile phone number) of our members will ever be exchanged between Nintendo and any third parties, as stated in our Privacy Policy.
Personal data of our members (nickname, email address, gender, date of birth as well as data regarding the usage of our website and newsletters, plus any additional non-required personal data such as mobile phone number and interests) are stored in a secure server environment for the duration of your child’s membership.
Your child can edit personal data on their profile page on this website. You can revoke your consent to the use of the data at any time by sending an email to the following address: privacypolicy@nintendo.co.uk. In addition you can request the deletion of all or part of your child’s personal data from our database. This may lead to a termination of your child’s account.
We are constantly striving to improve the content of our Parents section, which also contains a News section that we update regularly. On top of that, we also offer you the possibility to subscribe to our quarterly Newsletter for Parents. Click here for more information.
Certain games for Nintendo platforms are only suitable for players from a certain age. For this reason, we clearly display age rating icons. In such cases though, we take care not to include media materials (such as screenshots and videos) taken from the game that might upset younger visitors.
Recommendations in the form of small banners on our website are based upon the age and interests expressed in your child’s Club Nintendo member profile. They are a tool for us to alert your child to products we think your child might be interested in.
