Iwata Asks: The History of Handheld The Legend of Zelda Games

The Legend of Zelda series is one that is revered by fans the world over and Toshihiko Nagako, Takashi Tezuka and Eiji Aonuma are collectively responsible for making the magical land of Hyrule a reality on many of Nintendo’s portable game consoles over the years.

Nintendo President Satoru Iwata brought them together to gain a little insight into how the world of Zelda was created, from The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening back in the early 90s through to the latest iteration in the series, The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks. Discover how a surreal American drama series played a role in inspiring the series and investigate the untold story of the “Second Quest”!
