Now on WiiWare: Mega Man 9

26th September 2008 - This week sees a blast from the past make his debut appearance on WiiWare, with the launch of Mega Man™ 9. And to ensure everyone keeps dancing, the innovative Helix grooves onto WiiWare. Plus, Strong Bad continues his crusade to be the coolest person ever.

Mega Man fans, your wait is over! The classic Blue Bomber that debuted in 1987 is back with the ninth instalment in the classic series. Mega Man 9 is a brand new adventure all done in an 8-bit style -- graphics, music, and gameplay -- just like you remember them!

Evil genius Dr. Wily is back to his old tricks, causing chaos with eight new Robot Masters and setting up Mega Man’s creator Dr. Light as the culprit! Do you have the old-school skills to defeat the likes of Tornado Man, Magma Man and – in a first for the series – a female Robot Master, Splash Woman, and clear your creator’s name? Developed by Capcom, Mega Man 9 is available for 1000 Wii Points.

Next up this week is Ghostfire Games’ Helix. One of the most innovative and fun music rhythm games ever designed, it’s also a great way to have fun while getting a good workout.

Use your upper body to perform fast-paced moves as you groove to awesome music and be mesmerised by the background visuals, which pulse to the beat of the music!

Enjoy incredible replay value with 26 of the most amazing dance tracks you've ever heard!  With three difficulty levels, there are 78 different levels in the game to play. Do you have the moves to unlock all of the songs? Available today for 1000 Wii Points.

Last but definitely not least comes Strong Bad Episode 2: Strong Badia the Free, the second of five monthly episodes starring Strong Bad – the self-proclaimed 'coolest person ever' – and the rest of the cast from the popular Homestar Runner web cartoons.

When Strong Bad fails to obey the King of Town's totally unfair email tax, he's placed under house arrest. Once freed from his wrongful imprisonment, Strong Bad goes on a mission to unite the local warring factions under the Strong Badian flag.

Strong Bad Episode 2 also features new achievements, collectibles, costumes and Teen Girl Squad. You can even use Strong Bad's Lappy to send emails and pictures to your Wii Friends! It’s available now for 1000 Wii Points.
