Sci-Fi Pinball makes your DS rumble
The Morph Ball: Don't underestimate it. Its powers and utility are often
overshadowed only by the Arm Canon of one Samus Aran, galactic bounty
hunter. Not this time.
In her Morph Ball form, Samus battles her foes on a different venue: the
pinball table.
Metroid Prime Pinball captures the essence of the Metroid Prime universe
and delivers a one-of-a-kind experience on Nintendo DS. The game brings
a heavy amount of action to the usually relaxed pinball genre. Classic
enemies such as Space Pirates and Metroids track Samus to each table.
Players need to launch Samus into her enemies and eliminate them before
they eliminate her.
In special missions on each table, Samus exits her Morph Ball form and
unloads on hoards of enemies with her Arm Canon. Bombs and missiles are
also at her disposal, which will come in handy when she enters intense
boss battles.
The futuristic pinball tables look like they just stepped out of a
Metroid Prime game and are complimented perfectly by hard-edged music
and ambient environmental sounds. Adding to the tension is the DS Rumble
Pak, which is included with each game. Players insert the Pak into the
Game Boy Advance slot, allowing for that extra feedback that comes with
slamming into enemies at full speed.
In addition to several tables, Metroid Prime Pinball also features
mini-games and a robust multiplayer mode. More information about these
great highlights will be revealed in the coming weeks.Metroid Prime Pinball will be in shops on 22 June, only on Nintendo
DS.
