The Wii Remote has turned millions of people into household tennis stars, and now you can play with the real stars of tennis in Top Spin 3 for Wii.
Immerse yourself in the world of top-ranked professional tennis and come out swinging against the world’s best players on world famous courts. Go head-to-head against the likes of Roger Federer, Maria Sharapova, Andy Murray, Andy Roddick and more in famous venues, including the grand slam events the U.S. Open, French Open and Australian Open.
Taking advantage of the Wii Remote’s motion-sensing capabilities, Top Spin 3 uses a control scheme similar to what you’re used to in Wii Sports: swinging the Wii Remote similar to a tennis racquet. Top Spin 3 takes game control a bit further by allowing you to also control the player’s movement. By attaching the Nunchuk Controller, you use the Control Stick to determine where the player moves on the court. Not only does this put your tennis instincts and intuition into practice, it also lets you adjust your style of play, whether you aggressively charge the net or sit back on the baseline and hit ground strokes.
Although basic tennis principles apply in terms of hitting the ball, the game does feature several tutorials to get you accustomed to Top Spin 3’s enhanced control techniques. Once your training is finished, start your quest for the top rank in the Road to Glory mode. This career mode lets you rise through the ranks in 11 challenging tournaments.
Doubles anyone? Grab three friends and play a few sets in your favourite venue. With the multiplayer split-screen display, everyone has his and her own point of focus on the court. Plus, Top Spin 3 includes a number of single and multiplayer mini-games that will help you improve your technique while providing some humour to the proper game of tennis.
Take your Wii tennis experience to the next level and trade strokes with the best in Top Spin 3!
