FlingSmash action game for Nintendo's Wii console

Get ready for some intense FlingSmashing action! FlingSmash for Wii combines the hands-on fun of tennis with the non-stop action and instant gratification of pinball!

When the tropical Suthon Island is invaded by the evil Omminus, the ball-shaped hero, Zip, is summoned to save the day. Using the new Wii Remote Plus controller bundled with the game, you’ll fling Zip at targets to smash your way across eight colourful worlds – either alone or with a friend. Use the Wii Remote Plus like a racket and watch Zip bounce around like a pinball to smash through oncoming barriers and enemies in this action-sidescroller. Players of all ages can get in on the straightforward fun right away!

Worlds of Action

Each of the game’s eight worlds contains three levels, and on every level you’ll be challenged to grab three medals that are worth a single Sacred Pearl. Collect all the Sacred Pearls on offer in a particular world and you’ll be ready to advance to the next – although not before you’ve gone head-to-head with a beastly boss!

You’ll stop off at sandy beaches, lush tropical treetops and underwater grottos on your way to smashing everything in your path and saving the day. With Wii Remote Plus, the power to fling and smash with perfect precision is in your hands!

Play together in multiplayer

A second player can join the action from start to finish using an additional Wii Remote Plus controller (or a Wii Remote with the Wii MotionPlus accessory attached) to control Zip’s friend, Pip.

Whether playing alone or in co-op mode, you’ll face all manner of unique challenges as Zip and/or Pip might be shrunk down, turned into heavy steel spheres or suddenly find their world moving in a different direction. Thankfully, even the toughest of challenges can be tackled with the help of a power-up or two. Enemies and obstacles will be easier to crack when you grow to monstrous proportions or split into three to treble your potential power!

Top Performance

At the end of every level, your performance will be graded, with “S” being the highest rank available. Whether you achieve it or not will depend on how many bonus items you collected and whether or not you were able to string together destructive combos as you ricocheted into everything in sight!

On top of the game’s main mode, FlingSmash features eight unlockable minigames and eight extra levels – all playable by one or two players.

The controls of FlingSmash with the Wii Remote Plus

In FlingSmash, the aim of the game is to send Zip (and/or Pip) hurtling into obstacles and enemies that bar your path across 24 action-packed levels. As you would expect of a legendary hero, Zip has what it takes to smash through every obstruction one way or another, but he’s going to need a helping hand from you!

Total Control

The Wii Remote Plus controller that comes bundled with FlingSmash gives you total control over Zip’s motions as you send him careering into blocks and bad guys with equal gusto. Thanks to the controller’s ability to read the movement of your wrist with 1:1 accuracy, you’ll be able to direct Zip at precise angles as though you were hitting a ball with a racket.

In the bottom corner of the screen you’ll see an animated icon showing precisely where your Wii Remote Plus is pointing, which helps you to keep track of where you’re aiming in case the thrill of bouncing Zip left, right and centre causes you to lose track of things for a second!

And don’t worry, depending on whether you’re right or left handed the screen will scroll in different directions to ensure you feel comfortable when you swing the Wii Remote Plus and send Zip flying.
