Most levels will give you the option of picking two backup characters to help you out; enabling you to swap between fighters with a tap of the Touch Screen.
Each fighter in your squad boasts their own unique special moves which can be activated by performing specific tasks on the Touch Screen. Make the right motion with your stylus in quick-fire mini-games to trigger spectacular attacks, and acquire new moves for your characters by earning as many points as possible on each stage. Remember though, whatever ninja moves you put into action will use up your chakra power, so using your abilities wisely and keeping an eye on the chakra meter is key to your success.
As well as triggering your special moves and enabling you to swap between warriors, the Touch Screen also acts as a map when you pause the game – giving you an overview of your surroundings as you plan a perfect path through the dangerous levels.
Away from the game’s action-packed single player mode, Naruto Shippuden Ninja Council 3 European Version lets you test your mettle against other wannabe Ninjas in intense battles. Fight against 2-4 other players locally or battle the planet by heading online via Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Whichever option you go for, you’ll be able to determine the length of the battle and select from a range of stages before getting down to business.
Fighting online will enable you to challenge random opponents or friends with whom you have exchanged Friend Codes, and will automatically award you ranking points that let you see how you shape up compared to other Naruto enthusiasts around the globe.
