The Bowser-busting brothers are back again - reunited in a quest that will take them back through time! Mario and Luigi must travel to the past in order to track down Princess Peach; on the way they'll bump into younger versions of Bowser - and themselves! This challenging role playing game sees you controlling both the current and past incarnations of the Mushroom Kingdom maestros.

Mostly you'll be guiding them around on the Touch Screen while the upper screen displays a map of the area you're exploring - but in certain battles, the action is displayed across both screens. It’s during battle that the RPG elements of Partners in Time become more obvious. Combat is turn-based, with each character's defence, speed and power coming into play. But battling isn't simply a case of selecting commands and then watching the fight play out automatically, like other RPGs. Instead, you'll need to hit the action buttons at precisely the right moment to land a blow or bash the buttons rapidly to get in a flurry of hits.
