Q. What is the Nintendo 3DS Ambassador Programme?
A. Nintendo of Europe is offering an exclusive Nintendo 3DS Ambassador Programme to its loyal fans who have purchased the Nintendo 3DS prior to the reduction of trade price that took effect on August 12th, 2011. The programme enables those Nintendo 3DS owners to download 10 NES games and 10 Game Boy Advance games for free.
Q: Can I still register for the Nintendo 3DS Ambassador Programme?
A: If you bought your Nintendo 3DS system before August 12th, you are still eligible to join the programme. Use our Nintendo 3DS Ambassador Programme Tool here to register. You will need either: a) to have created a Friend Code and connected your Nintendo 3DS system to the Internet before August 12th, 2011, OR b) have your proof of purchase for your Nintendo 3DS system. Note you need only to fulfil ONE of these criteria.
Q. How do I download the games?
Please follow the instructions in the "How to Download" section of this website.
Q. When I try to download the games, I get a connection error. What's wrong?
Please be aware that you may receive a connection error if there is heavy traffic from users downloading the software. If this occurs, please wait some time and retry the download process. We thank you for your patience.
Q. Is this the same as the Wii Connection Ambassador Promotion?
No, the Nintendo 3DS Ambassador Programme is not related to the Wii Connection Ambassador Promotion, already running in Europe.
Q. I can't see/access Nintendo eShop. What can I do?
A. First, make sure your Nintendo 3DS system is connected to the Internet. You can find instructions on how to do that here.
Next, make sure you perform a system update. You can find instructions on how to do that here.

Q: How do I know if I’m registered on the Nintendo 3DS Ambassador Programme?
A: You can check your status on our Nintendo 3DS Ambassador Programme Tool at http://ambassador.nintendo-europe.com. All you will need on hand to check is the serial number of your Nintendo 3DS system, found on the back of the system.
Q: When will I receive the games?
A: The 10 Virtual Console NES titles were made available from 1st September, 2011. The 10 Virtual Console Game Boy Advance titles were made available from 16th December, 2011. For download instructions, please see the "How to Download" section of this website.
