If you thought professional cosmic meanie Marvin the Martian had decided just to behave nicely and keep himself to himself of late, think again. There's always something suspect afoot when that mouthless wonder is involved: this time around it's the small matter of Earth's scenery and his desire to steal it for Mars. If only there was a courageous hero who knew right from wrong and was willing to do anything to save the day... Sadly there isn't, there's just our ol' buddy Taz and his inept ability to blunder into the middle of whatever dastardly plot is going down at any given time.
Picture the scene: Taz is minding his own business when Marvin appears to pinch the bit of Earth that Taz just happens to be on. After getting himself accidentally kidnapped there's nothing left for Taz to do but try to figure out a way to escape, get back down to Earth and make a whole lot of trouble for Marvin while he's at it. On his quest to return home he'll travel across icy glaciers, through tropical jungle and over dusty desert - battling hordes of Martian robot minions to escape and maybe accidentally saving Earth on the way!
Galactic Taz Ball features two different modes of gameplay (Overworld and Underworld) and is stuffed full of platforming action, puzzles and combat. In the Overworld Taz is in a 3D platformer on the top screen, controlled by using the stylus on a track ball (or Taz Ball) found on the Touch Screen. All you have to do is steer his movements - if Taz needs to lay some smack down you can whip him up into a frenzy and take out baddies with the hairy hero's signature tornado move. In Underworld mode Taz drops down to a 2D platformer on the bottom screen where you control his movements directly using the stylus, guiding him to dodge traps and avoid Martian mechanisms. So if you've ever wanted to poke a Tasmanian devil with a stylus and live to tell the tale now's your chance! There's hours of fun to be had and secrets to unlock by completing time trials or finding hidden treasures - and if this all sounds too easy there are three difficulty levels to choose from!
