Buddies and bosses
Mix things up by switching between characters on-the-fly, and take advantage of each hero’s unique abilities. Speed through stages with Sonic, fly through the air as Tails or smash through enemies with Knuckles’ brute strength. Amy and Sticks even have their own unique items, the hammer and the boomerang, allowing you to alter the terrain or hit far-away targets.
Sonic can tag in a teammate to take on towering terrors in boss fights so huge they take up both screens! By scouring the land, you can find hidden items and totally tough Challenge Rooms, but completing a level quickly – or passing by another player who also has StreetPass enabled – will net you Ragnium.
With this valuable resource, buy and customise your own bot, a supercharged cybernetic suit that you can use to race against another player in Bot Racing mode. Race around a number of blisteringly fast courses and vie for speed supremacy against friends or frenemies in high-octane multiplayer races for up to two players via Local Play.
